Wolfsburg boss Felix Magath has dismissed Portsmouth's pursuit of his striker, Edin Dzeko.
Referring to a 3-2 win at the Volkswagen Stadium that cost Portsmouth a last 32 place and sent Wolfsburg through as Group E winners, former Bayern Munich coach Magath told the Daily Mail: "First of all, I do not know anything about any serious offers for Dzeko.
"But it wouldn't matter, anyway, because Portsmouth would not be a better club for him. It would not exactly enhance his career to leave us for a club like Portsmouth.
"He has been in great form and was superb against them last month. With such a player up front, you are always going to score goals, so it is no surprise if there is interest in him. But he will be staying with us."
