Wolfsburg have expressed interest in taking Manchester City players as part of Edin Dzeko's move to Eastlands.

The Daily Mail says Dzeko is on the brink of a £36 million move to City after negotiations yesterday.

Wolfsburg had expressed interest in City strikers Craig Bellamy and Roque Santa Cruz but both were reluctant to move to Germany.

Wolfsburg manager Steve McClaren will be disappointed with Dzeko's departure but will have a decent transfer kitty to launch his assault on the transfer market.
