Manchester United's pursuit of AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman this season has created tension within the Dutch media.
Roma have made it clear that they will not listen to any offers below £60million for Strootman, who is United boss Louis van Gaal's prime midfield target.
The Sunday Mirror says when Strootman was asked about United's interest this week by a group of Dutch journalists who had travelled to Rome to interview him, he responded to the question by walking out.
Roma have said United would have to make an offer they couldn't refuse to land Strootman.
