Winterburn: Arsenal boss Emery wants to shake up midfield

Former Arsenal fullback Nigel Winterburn has revealed new manager Unai Emery is impressing club officials.

Winterburn is positive about the appointment and has heard that Emery plans to make Arsenal far more organised after taking the job.

"I think in midfield now we are yet to see the style of the new player," Winterburn told the Transfer Talk podcast. "This is where it becomes very complicated because from what I've learnt so far, I think tactically Arsenal are going to be set-up a lot differently.

"They'll be very organised and then what we don't know - and what I'm trying to find out - is what they will be like offensively, attacking-wise.

"It could be that the manager is looking for some alternative transfers in that midfield area that he wants."
