Thiago Silva believes that Paris Saint-Germain hold the advantage over Chelsea ahead of their Champions League knockout fixture in February.

Chelsea have been handed a tough draw in the knockout phase of Europe's premier club competition in the form of French giants PSG and not many believe that the Blues stand a chance against the Ligue 1 side due to their current struggles in the Premier League.

Now PSG defender Thiago Silva has gone on to speak regarding the clash and has stated his belief that Chelsea are at a further disadvantage for the game due to their busy round of fixtures over the festive period.

Silva said: "Chelsea are playing at ­Christmas and New Year and that must be a great effort for them, a very difficult moment both mentally and physically.

"When it comes to the crucial moments of the season, the knockout stages of the Champions League and the end of the local leagues, they are more tired because they didn't have a winter break.

"I hope we can take advantage of this situation, but in the Champions League you never know what is going to happen."
