Hull City veteran Dean Windass has revealed why he was in Geovanni's ear after the Brazilian star's wonder-goal which sank Spurs on Sunday.

He said: "When Geo practises his free-kicks in training they fly into the net whenever he smashes them, but go over the stand if he tries to bend them.

"I just told him that I was surprised he had curled it - because they usually end up in row Z!"
