Arsenal’s Andrei Arshavin has labeled this weekend’s clash with Stoke City as a must-win affair.
The Gunners narrow loss to Manchester United on Monday night relinquished their grip on top spot and now they need to hit back hard when they meet the Potters at the Emirates this weekend.
Arshavin admitted that the defeat at Old Trafford hurt and indicated that the Arsenal players were looking to get revenge and continue to be a title threat this season.
“Of course we are disappointed,” Arshavin said. “The aftertaste of this defeat remains.
“But we have no time to indulge in melancholy and sadness, we have to forget this defeat and start thinking about our next game.
“We must beat Stoke (on Saturday). We have a very interesting championship this year, nothing is lost yet.”
