Kevin Wimmer is set to join Stuttgart less than seven months after joining Tottenham.

Sky Sports suggests the 23-year-old centre-back will return to the Bundesliga after arriving at Spurs from FC Koln for £4.3 million in May last year.

Wimmer has failed to force his way into Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs lineup, acting as deputy to the first-choice central defensive pairing of Toby Alderwerield and Jan Vertonghen.

The Austria international has failed to make a single Premier League appearance and has only featured three times in other competitions suggesting he could be on his way out the White Hart Lane exit door this month.
