Stoke City defender Marc Wilson is pleased with the business the Potters conducted in the transfer market this summer.
The Staffordshire club brought in no less than 12 new players over the summer and while the addition of so many new faces certainly increases competition for places, Wilson is happy at the fact the Potters are taking rapid strides towards further progress under Mark Hughes
Wilson told the Stoke Sentinel: "I think the manager has brought in some quality players into the group and he still wants to keep a spine of players who are good in the changing room and can talk with the other guys, make them feel welcome and comfortable.
"He's maintained that since he's been here, which is always helpful."
