Wilson happy with left-back role at Liverpool

Former Rangers centre-half Danny Wilson is happy playing at left-back for Liverpool.

The Scot has impressed in the role for Kenny Dalglish's Reds.

He told liverpoolfc.tv: "Playing at left-back is a bit different to what I'm used to as I'm usually a centre back, but I've said right from the start if I have to play out of position I will do it - no problem at all."

Meanwhile, Wilson reflected on how the club has been lifted by Dalglish and why everyone is pulling in the right direction to try and get Liverpool back to the top.

He said: "Our supporters love King Kenny and he enjoys them as much as they enjoy him.

"I think it's great having him as manager of our club and everybody seems happier and we are all moving in the right direction.

"He went out of his way to speak with me when I came down to Liverpool from Glasgow and he's been great with me and he has given me an opportunity.

"The one thing about him is he just lets you play the game and he doesn't try and put too much on your head. He just lets you go out and do what you naturally do, and as a footballer that's what you want from your manager.

"We've got a lot of good attacking players and he has given them the freedom to just go and express themselves.

"I think you can see that from the results we have had and it's very positive."
