Wilson blast for Portsmouth's want-away Defoe

Marc Wilson has hit out at Portsmouth's want-away striker Jermain Defoe.

The young defender was full of support for manager Tony Adams after their FA Cup stalemate with Bristol City: "The manager's just a real, genuine geezer. He just loves committed players who are willing to work hard and be at the club. I think he's totally right.

"There's nothing worse than a player who doesn't want to play for the club."
