Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has been working on trying to lure Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill to the Emirates.
Cahill has been linked with the Gunners and Wilshere would love to see his former Trotters teammate at the London giants.
The Bolton News says Arsenal were leading a host of clubs in the race to sign the Wanderers defender, with Gunners star Wilshere admitting to "tapping" him up at England's training camp last week.
Cahill has a £17million buyout clause in his contract.
