Wilshere thrilled to contribute to Arsenal cause

Jack Wilshere admitted it was not easy for him to play out of position in Arsenal's 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

The midfielder was forced out to the left wing at The Hawthorns but it paid dividends as he netted a 63rd minute leveller to give the Gunners a share of the points.

Wilshere said he felt alien playing on a wing but said he was simply happy to have contributed to another positive result for the table-topping north Londoners.

"It was a tough game, coming here is never easy. We are happy with the point," he told Sky Sports 1.

"It was a tough game for me. I am not used to playing on the wing, I'm still learning it, but I'm happy to do it for the team. I got a goal which was nice, I've always said I want to score more goals."
