Wilshere resurgence giving Arsenal manager Wenger selection headache

Jack Wilshere has given Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger a significant selection headache after a sublime performance against West Ham United on Wednesday night.

The 25-year-old, having been used primarily in the Europa League, made his first Premier League of the season in the 0-0 draw, replacing the injured Aaron Ramsey.

Speaking after the game, Wenger says Wilshere's appearance is just reward for his hard work on the training pitch.

"He played well and created many movements forward in the first half," said Wenger.

"He needs regular football and I've said that many times. He's been patient and he's been rewarded. What he did tonight is positive."

Ramsey is expected to be fit for the weekend's clash with Newcastle, which means Wenger must decide whether he will replace the in-form Wilshere with the Welshman.
