Wilshere gunning for silverware with Arsenal - 'We have to step up'

Jack Wilshere is well aware that the upcoming season is massive for Arsenal.

The North London club have not won any trophies since the 2005 FA Cup and the England midfielder is determined to achieve some success at the Emirates Stadium, starting in 2013/14.

"It's a big season ahead for us. A few of the other big teams have changed managers this season and we've got a manager who has been there a long time. He knows the league, so it's a big season for us, hopefully we can push on," he told Sports Illustrated.

"We haven't won a trophy in seven or eight years. The fans are starting to realise that and we're feeling the pressure and we have to step up."
