New Ivory Coast coach Marc Wilmots is seeking talks with Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.

Wilmots wants Toure to reconsider his international retirement.

He told L'Equipe: "I have seen his last two games with Manchester City in the position of defensive midfielder.

"He is always great, he is physically well. I will go and see him and talk to him. I know how important it is to have experienced players, it is not yet finished for Touré, we want him to come back.

"The case of Yaya Touré will be one of my first missions."
