Belgium coach Marc Wilmots is pleased with the progress of Manchester City defender Jason Denayer.

Denayer made his Belgium debut in victory over France yesterday.

Wilmots has been convinced of Denayer's potential for some time, and before the game compared the player's attitude to that of Eden Hazard, voted as the Premier League's best player last season.

"Jason is like Eden Hazard," he said. "Always calm. I've never seen him nervous; he has a lot of confidence and there will be someone with experience standing next to him.

"It is not too early for him. He has the qualities and if he does something wrong…that is my fault."
