Willian: Chelsea move boyhood dream come true

Chelsea winger Willian says he's fulfilling a boyhood dream.

Willian scored for Chelsea in their win at Norwich City on Sunday.

He told Chelsea Magazine. "I am happy with my start here. Although you always hope your first game for a new club will end with a win and unfortunately we didn't manage that against Basle (Chelsea lost 2-1).

"Despite this I was really happy when the fans applauded me so much as I came off the pitch that night. We were sad to lose the game, but in that moment, as I left the pitch to that reception, I was very happy and want to continue working hard to do my very best for Chelsea and the supporters.

"I think there is something different here. At Shakhtar, there were very few teams who could take points from us, we knew most of the time we would win.

"However, I have already seen that the games here are more difficult and they demand much more from you. I want to train hard, work hard and give everything to earn my place in the side so I can help the team to be successful.

"Every small boy who starts playing the game in Sao Paulo dreams about reaching the professional level; he dreams about playing for the national team and playing for a big club with great footballers alongside him. I can now say that I have realised these dreams, but there are many more challenges to come."
