He's filled in admirably for the injured Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor and even with the pair soon to return, he expects to keep his place.
"I'd be disappointed if I wasn't in the side at Spurs," he told the Daily Star.
"It was difficult at times earlier this season. But life is about perspective. It's about having three children running you ragged so you have not got too much time to sulk.
"Now I'm playing I'd love to continue."
