Rhys Williams was on target as Middlesbrough returned to form in England's Championship. The 21-year old Australian international scored in the 45th minute in Boro's 3-0 romp over ten man Scunthorpe United at the Riverside Stadium when he fired across goalkeeper Joe Murphy from inside the area to make it 2-0 after Adam Johnson's 11th minute penalty.
The win was confirmed a minute after half-time when former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere added Boro's third and enabled them to jump to tenth on the league table after dropping to 14th last week.
Unfortunately, Williams' Australian teammate, goalkeeper Brad Jones, did not make the Boro bench as manager Gordon Strachan shook up the team in a bid to get them back to form.
