Williams 'super happy' as Huddersfield defeat West Brom

Huddersfield midfielder Danny Williams praised their character after victory over West Brom.

The Terriers won the relegation six pointer 2-1.

Williams told HTTV: “What a result, we couldn't ask for more. It was a great performance and the boys dug deep and I'm super super happy for them. It certainly felt much bigger at the end as they applied a lot of pressure on us, so compliments to the back four too. Now we are looking forward to Tottenham next week.

“The pitch was super heavy, I think you could see at the end a few heavy legs; that's why it felt so emotional. Away from home, it always feels special to win and the fans were fantastic at the end, they made more noise than the whole Stadium and that's why we had to go over to them and celebrate with them.

“Being on the pitch for 95 minutes, you have to switch the emotions off and focus on the game and you can let it all out at the end. We mentioned it at half time, I don't know how many times we go into the second half and concede.

“Today we showed that we can score away from home. We had the chance to score two or three more, but we are happy with the three points and it's a good result at West Brom away."
