Rhys Williams will remain at Middlesbrough as the Championship club looks to gain promotion to the Premier League.
The 23-year old Australian international has been attracting interest from the likes of West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Bolton in recent times but Boro boss Tony Mowbray insists he will be staying at the Riverside Stadium for the foreseeable future.
"Rhys Williams is not out of contract and talking to him the boy's pretty comfortable here so I don't see that being an issue.
"He wants to try and help us get back to the Premier League.""I'm pretty sure that anyone we don't want to lose won't be leaving," he said.
