Williams sees red for Middlesbrough

Rhys Williams was sent off as Miidlesbrough scored a late goal to draw 2-2 with Derby County in the Championship overnight.

The 21-year old Australian midfielder was shown a yellow card on the stroke of half-time when Boro led 1-0 after a Barry Robson goal and then put his side in a precarious position when he was handed a second caution for a late challenge on Dean Leacock with just two minutes remaining.

At the time, Derby had responded from going a goal down and found themselves in front at Pride Park after Chris Porter and Michael Tonge scored in the 67th and 74th minutes.

But luckily for Williams, Boro's Leroy Lita forced an equaliser in the final moments of the match allowing the Teessiders to remain in 11th position on the table.
