Williams says January cash available for Blackburn boss Allardyce

Blackburn Rovers chairman John Williams admits a takeover will change their spending power for the winter market.

Even if a takeover does not occur, Williams says there will be money available to manager Sam Allardyce for January.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "If there is no takeover we are sitting on a small balance and we shall try and help the manager if we can.

"But there are constant demands on the money. Improvements at Ewood, Brockhall (undersoil heating and UV lighting rigs to name two) to consider.

"If we have a change of ownership, who knows?"
