Williams sees similarities with Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
Ahead of Swansea's trip to Anfield today, the Wales defender said: "Liverpool are flying and playing with a lot of confidence.
"They have a great strike force but, as a team, they attack very well and that, of course, is credit to Brendan.
"Having worked with the guy, I knew it was going to come good for him at Anfield - as long as he got the time.
"Garry is a natural for the job.
"Even if he didn't get the job tomorrow, he has done himself proud.
"From the first minute he took over, he gave us the lift needed."
