Rhys Williams should be fit and available to take his place in Middlesbrough's starting line-up this weekend.
The versatile 23-year old was forced off the pitch in Australia's 1-0 World Cup qualifying loss to Oman on Friday night after receiving a knock on his knee and was then an unused sub as the Socceroos defeated Thailand in Bangkok on Tuesday.
However, Williams trained with his teammates on Thursday morning and manager Tony Mowbray feels the midfielder/defender, along with midfielder Nicky Bailey, will be right for the visit of Blackpool on Saturday.
"Rhys and Nicky both started training today. Rhys was taking care of himself after a 27-hour flight. Nicky will hopefully be okay too," he told the club's official website.
