William Vainqueur says Roma's locker room believes they can win the Scudetto this season.

The midfielder arrived last month from Dinamo Moscow.

Vainqueur said: “The clubs had been talking for a few weeks.

“I had given my agreement, then the negotiations dragged on, as often happened. I'll take this opportunity to thank the directors at Roma and Dinamo.

“The Juventus game? It was an amazing feeling seeing the Olimpico bouncing like that, I knew the fans were passionate, but I'd never seen a crowd so dedicated to their team.

“It's a dream to be here. I hope to win myself a starting shirt, but it'll be hard, there are great players here.

“Everyone is working for a common goal, which is to win titles."
