Wilkshire and Dynamo draw first blood on McDonald's Celtic

Dynamo Moscow have downed Celtic 1-0 at Parkhead in the first leg of their Champions League third round qualifier. Australian internationals Luke Wilkshire and Scott McDonald did battle with the Russian-based midfielder coming out on top thanks to Alexander Kokorin's seventh-minute strike.

In the first half, Wilkshire tried his luck from long range just moments before McDonald had a point-blank shot saved and a minute after the re-start, McDonald saw his back post header cleared off the line.

McDonald then made way for New Zealand striker Chris Killen on the hour-mark as Wilkshire was left to revel in a solid victory that has put his team in a great position to qualify for this season's UEFA Champions League.
