Andy Wilkinson insists he is not interested in a move away from Stoke City.

The 23-year-old defender has been linked with a move back to Blackpool after enjoying a successful loan spell at Bloomfield Road in the 2006-07 campaign.

But Wilkinson is keen to stay and fight for his place with the Potters.

"It is nice to have clubs interested in you, but I thought I did well here last season," Wilkinson told the Sentinel.

"Stoke are my home-town club, they are in the Premier League and this is a chance to play Premier League football.

"This is where I want to be and hopefully is also where the club wants me to be."
