Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins has hinted they will have to battle Manchester United if they're to land Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery.
Former United star Wilkins believes Ribery could be an ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
He said: "Ribery's a very talented guy as well. There are lots of players out there who they can afford now.
"They've got a fantastic squad as it is and I'm sure the loss of Cristiano will be a slight loss, but nothing too drastic.
"Alex is so astute in the market. He'll pick one or two, he won't go too mad, and it's a squad which only needs tweaking, not changing.
"I would have thought he'll leave the majority of that money in the bank."
