Wilkins: Chelsea players must ask themselves tough questions

Former Chelsea coach Ray Wilkins says the club's senior players must ask themselves some tough questions after last night's success against Napoli.

Wilkins was delighted for his old club.

But he also told talkSPORT: "They will be very disappointed about how this season has gone so far, there's no two ways about it.

"They have that in their locker but they haven't produced it on a number of occasions and they were due to perform last night so it was nice to see them do so."

Wilkins, who played into his 40s, also rubbished accusations that Chelsea's senior stars are too old to succeed at the top level.

"A lot has been said about the age of the players but I think it's a load of nonsense," he said.

"They can get back up and they have a massive game at the weekend because a win against Leicester on Sunday will get them into the semi-final of The FA Cup."
