Aston Villa No2 Ray Wilkins insists they can survive the sales of Fabian Delph and Christian Benteke.

Villa have lost their top scorer Benteke to Liverpool and captain Delph to Manchester City.

Wilkins said: “Players leave and players come in, yes we have lost two fantastic players and also very good characters as well but the deals were there so they did them. But we have to move on.

“Tim is working extremely hard to bring players in and I am sure he will in the next couple of days as well."
