Former Dundee United captain Lee Wilkie is back in football just months after retiring through injury, reports BBC Sport. However, the 30-year-old will not be making a comeback, instead he has become a client manager for his former agent representing players' interests.
Charlie Duddy, of Premier Sports Management, told BBC Scotland Wilkie's experience would prove invaluable.
"Lee will identify clients and give them the benefit of his wide experience in the game," Duddy said.
"He will also liaise with players who we currently represent like Andy Webster, Paul Dixon and Scott Robertson.
"Lee represented both Dundee clubs and Scotland with distinction and we are delighted to have him on board.
"He has a huge reputation in the game among fellow professionals and is ideally suited to looking after their interests."
Wilkie will also spend some time away from football when he begins working on an oil rig.
