Christian Wilhelmsson made an impressive debut for LA Galaxy in their 2-0 home win over Colorado Rapids.
The Swedish midfielder played 60 minutes, scoring a goal two minutes before he came off, and was thrilled to create plenty for his teammates as the Galaxy went third on the Western Conference table.
"It was nice to be out there. I didn't think that I would score today, but it was special," Wilhelmsson told reporters after the match.
"I'm just happy that we got the three points and I got the goal.
"From time to time, [I connected with my teammates] alright. There were some misunderstandings sometimes, but I've been here two weeks and we're getting to know each other more and more every day.
"It will be better. Absolutely."
