Reports have claimed that Wigan striker Antoine Sibierski had agreed to join Championship Norwich on a free transfer when his loan deal expires next week. However, Latics boss Steve Bruce says the Canaries have not made an offer to keep the Frenchman.

"Sibi is due to come back on January 17 and I've no problem about that happening," Bruce told the Wigan Evening Post.

"The loan has served its purpose as Sibi has got some games under his belt and would be available for our squad.

"At the moment there hasn't been an approach from Norwich to take him for longer, so I assume he will come back to us."
