Wigan Athletic midfielder Wilson Palacios has thanked Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger for helping his move to the Premiership last year.
"It is because of him I came to England," he said. "I had been training in France with Monaco and because of the good relationship between that club and Wenger, I was able to train with Arsenal. From there, Arsene recommended me to Steve Bruce.
"It was a fantastic experience to train alongside Fabregas, Hleb and Adebayor. It wasn't tough to be turned down by Arsenal. They are one of the biggest clubs in Europe and I knew I would get a chance with someone else."
