Middlesbrough are ready to take Wigan striker Marlon King in a swap deal involving Mido, reports the Evening Gazette. King has been on a season-long loan with Hull but was sent home on Saturday following a bust-up with manager Phil Brown.
King is not seen as part of Wigan's future by boss Steve Bruce and so he would be happy to do a deal.
Mido has long been aware of Wigan's interest and has revealed in the past that he would be interested in going to the JJB.
