After victory over West Ham, Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce confirmed striker Emile Heskey is out of new England manager Fabio Capello's first game in charge against Switzerland at Wembley on Wednesday.

"He's got a nerve problem, I think," remarked Bruce.

"It's just a continuation of the big fella being out for three or four months because he is getting niggles, pulls and strains all the time."
