Wigan Athletic striker Emile Heskey shed no tears after his England snub this week.

Heskey, who requires painkilling injections to his damaged foot to get through matches, thinks that his omission from the England squad will be beneficial to his fitness.

"It's probably better that I stay here at the club," the forward said.
