Wigan's Heskey commits to Latics

Emile Heskey has reassured Wigan that he sees his future at the JJB Stadium and has held talks with chairman Dave Whelan to confirm his decision.

The striker was recently linked with a move to Tottenham.

"The chairman spoke to me recently about my future and he said that until I came up to him and told him I wanted to go then he wouldn't entertain any bids," said Heskey in the Sunday Express.

"I think that's fair enough.

"I'm not going to do that because I don't want to leave. I'm doing well at Wigan."
