Wigan Athletic defender Titus Bramble says new manager Steve Bruce has had an early impact.

"The manager has already laid down what he wants," he said. "We've been working very hard on our fitness because we have been leaking late goals.

"I'm just glad it's all been sorted out. Chris Hutchings was a brilliant manager and everyone was disappointed to see him go but we have to move on.

"I am sure I can learn a lot from playing under Steve. He was fantastic as a player and I can't understand why he did not win England caps."
