Wigan Athletic fullback Leighton Baines is keen on a move to Sunderland.
The Journal says Baines has expressed his disappointment that Sunderland's offers have been dismissed and has indicated a desire to talk to Black Cats boss Roy Keane.
Keane is expected to make a final £4 million offer for Baines this weekend.
