N'Zogbia – who has recently qualified to play for the Three Lions after residing here since 2004 – is hoping his fine form this term has alerted England boss Fabio Capello.
He told the Wigan Observer: "I have been here for so long now I consider myself to be both French and English.
"I would definitely say 'yes' if England asked me. And I would be very happy to do so."
The youngster added: "I love English football and English life, and I have many friends here. It would be a big honour in my life, and I would be happy to do that if selected.
"I have spoken to my family about this and they all want the best for my career. And I would do my best to play for England."
