Wigan winger Moses: Burnley win shows I belong at this level

Wigan Athletic winger Victor Moses was thrilled with his performance in victory over Burnley.

Moses came off the bench to create Hugo Rodallega's winner on the day.

The former Crystal Palace starlet told the Wigan Observer: "When I got the ball in the corner, the only thing on my mind was to cross it and get it in the area.

"I'd got myself into that position a few times beforehand and the balls in hadn't come to anything. But on this occasion I checked inside him, made a bit of room and found Hugo, who finished really well.

"I'll remember this day for a long time. It was a great win and three very important points for the club."

Despite laying on the winning goal, Moses admits his view of Rodallega's finish was not the best.

He laughed: "After I put the cross in, I got caught by the defender. So when Hugo headed it in, I was on the floor and couldn't really see it had gone in. It was only the roar from the crowd that told me he'd scored, which was a great feeling."
