Wigan Athletic are being lined up for a club friendly with A-League outfit Wellington Phoenix. After failing to get Everton or Fulham over for a pre-season game, Wellington Phoenix CEO Tony Pignata says he has had positive talks with Wigan manager Steve Bruce.
Pignata says he is talking with Bruce again next week and has had interest from two other A-League clubs about hosting Wigan.
