Wigan Athletic striker Jason Scotland has urged former Swansea teammate Ferrie Bodde to join him at the DW.
Scotland told the Wigan Evening Post: "Ferrie is a very good player, and obviously it would be great to have him here.
"He did great for Swansea while I was there, and sometimes a player has to take the next step up.
"We'll have to wait and see what happens, but hopefully he will come here and do well.
"He has many qualities, but in Holland they gave him the nickname of 'The Dutch Roy Keane', which says a lot.
"He is a good passer of the ball, with his left and right foot, he gets stuck in a bit in the middle of the park, and is an all-round good player.
"I know a few clubs have been in for him, and that tells its own story for you."
