Wigan Athletic striker Arouna Kone admits he's treading new ground this season.

Kone arrived at Wigan from Levante for £2.7m last summer and is enduring his first survival scrap with Wigan.

He said: "It's the first time in my career I've been in this situation of fighting to stay up. It's a new set of emotions for me.

"We have to use those emotions to get through this spell and keep the club in the league."
