Wigan Athletic have agreed a fee for Estudiantes striker Mauro Boselli.

The Daily Mail says Wigan have agreed a £7.5m deal for Argentina striker Boselli.

The Estudiantes star had been linked with a move to Sunderland or Boca Juniors, but Roberto Martinez has swooped to net the 25-year-old.

Sunderland had looked the favourites to sign the Argentina international after Wigan had a £6million offer turned down last week.

But the Latics have increased their bid and now lead the race to capture Boselli this summer.
