Wigan Athletic midfielder Momo Diame isn't taking anything for granted after his stunning first season in England.
Diame hopes the experiences from last year will help both him and the team realise their true potential this time round.
"My first season went well, I loved it, although it was in no way amazing," Diame told Wigan's website.
"It could have been a lot better, but it was a big learning curve for me and I picked up a lot in terms of experience. The inconsistency of the team has been well-documented, and we can all improve, including myself.
"I didn't see anything specific I could put my finger on.
"The level of hard work we put in was there, and it's just a matter of keeping going and hopefully it will happen for us next year.
"The team will benefit from having worked together for a year, and we'll be working harder than ever to reach a higher level of consistency."
