Reading boss Steve Coppell fears losing midfielder Stephen Hunt before the winter market shuts.
Wigan and Tottenham are both interested in £5million-rated Hunt and Everton have offered £3m.
Coppell is planning to bid for Derby winger Steve Davies as Hunt's replacement.
